Hankins

I recently had the pleasure of interviewing James Hankins, bestselling author of BROTHERS AND BONES, DRAWN, and JACK OF SPADES.  His newest novel, SHADY CROSS, is set to be released on February 24th, but is currently available for pre-order on Amazon.  James has been highly successful with his work, and he has seen both sides of self-publishing and traditional publishing.  I did us all a favor and used my Jedi powers to make him share his secrets.  We discussed everything from writing processes to why Atticus Finch should fist fight John Grisham.  I’ll stop rambling now and let you enjoy.  Here’s how it went: Read the rest of this entry »

KateColby

So this is a special interview that I’m only running a month or two late on posting.  I know, I know, I’m lazy and worthless, my wife tells me all the time.  I had put out a request on Twitter that I wanted to interview some people participating in NaNoWriMo in 2014.  I’ve never personally participated (I intend to at some point) and I think it’s a fantastic contest and the winners deserve to be celebrated.  Kate doesn’t have any works officially published yet (soon to change this year), so the only thing I’m promoting here is her hard work and success this past November.  You can bet I’ll have her back when she publishes her novel so that everyone can go purchase it.

The interview was a lot of fun and we covered everything from the greatest candy bars in the universe to mind control and Jedi powers to why global warming is as big of a conspiracy as the Apollo moon landing and the alleged death of Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls.  Kate is from Kansas, but we won’t hold that against her (I’m from Oklahoma).  It’s better than Texas after all, even if my boys in Norman constantly put a whipping on everything Kansas has to offer.  Well, other than Jayhawk basketball I suppose.  If you get a chance, please drop a comment to tell Kate congratulations on finishing her novel.  You can also find her contact info at the bottom if you’d like to keep up with her progress and news on release of her work.  Here’s the interview: Read the rest of this entry »

Michael Grist

I had the pleasure of interviewing Michael John Grist about his novel Mr. Ruins: A Thriller (click here).  We discussed everything form his new novel, how American accents score in the UK, and who would win in a battle between Kate and Pippa Middleton.  Fans of Sci Fi be sure to check out his new book that is now perma-free on Amazon (yes, free book!).  You can find links to his work and contact information at the bottom of the interview.  Here’s how it went: Read the rest of this entry »

I had the pleasure of interviewing Lisa Maliga, author of Hollywood After Dark: 3 Tales of Terror (click here).  I’ve always been a fan of a good horror story and love reading Stephen King and Lovecraft, so I can’t wait to check out Lisa’s new compilation of stories.  Her talents are not limited to horror as she also has titles available under romance and candle making among others if that’s your thing.  I have to thank Lisa for being a good sport as we discussed everything from roundabouts vs four-way stops to why she should only listen to Led Zeppelin.  You can find links to her contact information at the bottom of the interview, here’s how it went: Read the rest of this entry »

TimTrimble

I recently interviewed Tim Trimble, author of Zegin’s Adventures in Epsilon which is now available (click here).  This is a printed edition of his first two works Zegin’s Infection (click here) and Zegin’s Abduction (click here) with added bonus content.  Tim is my kind of guy, a computer geek who loves to write novels.  We cover everything from why he is Bill Gates writing under a pen name, to the Pythagorean Theorem and why it is utterly useless in real world applications, to who would win in a battle royale hackathon between Turing and Zuckerberg on a Raspberry Pi.  You can find links to his work and contact information at the bottom of the interview.  Here’s how it went: Read the rest of this entry »

VIGILANTE ASSHOLE FINAL

Much has transpired in the past week or two.  First, my sci-fi, dystopian novella Upload: Origin of Bannon is free on Amazon 1/18 – 1/20 so go out and download a free copy (click here).  Reviews are always nice but are not necessary.

**GIVEAWAY**

I’m also going to be giving away five signed paperback copies of my new novel Vigilante Asshole: A Superhero Novel.  I’ll be sending the copies out one week before the release date so you’ll have a chance to get it before it hits Amazon.  Don’t miss out.  To enter, simply share on Facebook or retweet on Twitter and then go to the side bar on the website and enter your email address.  I’ll be selecting five winners at random and I’ll notify them via email for contact information.

I won’t spam your inbox, only send you updates with special offers and news of my releases or author interviews.  This should be sometime in February or March and I’ll set a hard release date as I near completion of the novel.  That’s all for now.  Keep checking in as I plan on posting a few author interviews and announce more upcoming news in the weeks before the release.  Thanks to everyone for their support.
